PT, DPT, PCES, Cert. DN, Physical Therapist
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas but later moved to New York City in 2014 where I attended Marymount Manhattan College to pursue a degree in Modern Dance. I received my B.F.A in Modern Dance in 2018 and, soon after, experienced an injury that halted my dance career. Through my own rehabilitation process, I experienced, first-hand, how impactful Physical Therapy can be and decided to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist. While I no longer pursue dance at the same level, it has been a major part of my life and has informed much of what I understand about movement and the body.
I graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Western Carolina University in 2024. During my first clinical educational rotation, I became more interested in a speciality in pelvic health and pursued further coursework in this area. I have received a certification as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) as well as completed multiple Herman and Wallace courses related to both urinary and colorectal pelvic health. Additionally, I am certified in dry needling. I have practiced in the outpatient setting working with individuals with orthopedic and pelvic health-related conditions both in Asheville, NC and, more recently, as a travel physical therapist in California and Texas.
Ultimately, I love to work with patients with orthopedic and pelvic-related conditions to enable those who share a love for movement to do the things they love as much as theyβd like to. I enjoy working with all active individuals and especially love working with dancers, runners, and those looking for support in the perinatal period.
In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, running, hiking, yoga, live music and a good book.
