Rachael Paszko
DPT, OCS, Pelvic Floor Specialist, Physical Therapist
My journey as a physical therapist has developed greatly through the years. After graduating from Wheeling University in 2016, I spent time working in Virginia and West Virginia before falling in love with Asheville, North Carolina. I completed an orthopedic residency program in orthopedics in 2020 and became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). Since that time, I have also found my passion for treating individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction. It quickly became clear to me that symptoms of urinary and fecal incontinence, frequency/urgency, pelvic pain, pain with sexual activity are under-reported and under-treated. I love empowering individuals to reclaim their confidence and help lift the feelings of isolation associated with it! I have completed extensive training to treat the pelvic health population through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and Institute of Clinical Excellence.
Pelvic Health training through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Health Institute: Level1, 2A, 2B, 2C, Capstone. Institute of Clinical Excellence Pregnancy and Post-Partum Level 1 and 2.
I am an Orthopedic Certified Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).
Top 5 values at this time in my life: Community, Outdoor Adventure, Family, Quality Time, and Fitness.
After experiencing a running injury in High School, I set my sights on becoming a physical therapist to be able to help folks return to the level of activity that they enjoy! I love participating in any outdoor and endurance-based sports. I have thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail (Georgia to Maine), biked the Great Divide Mountain Bike route (Jasper, Canada to Antelope Wells, New Mexico), raced an Ironman 140.6 race, and met the Boston-Qualifying marathon time.
I love treating distance runners, triathletes, Crossfit athletes, individuals who are pregnant/postpartum, folks experiencing urinary or fecal incontinence, urinary or fecal urgency, pelvic and/or sexual pain. I am happy to get you moving again!
